DESIGN
TUESDAYS 9:30AM - 5:30PM
Demonstrations by the instructor.
Hands on by apprentice trainees on 2-4 models.
All our instructors are artistic and master designers.
In addition every 8 to 12 weeks
Intensive training classes (2 day class) on mannequins, to learn basic foundation technique, using large combs and 6 1/2 to 7-inch shears as well as a variety of cutting tools.
Training for special occasion hair.
The training program encompasses cutting and finishing techniques, as well as customer service, consultations and creative designs.
COLOR.
FRIDAYS 9:30AM - 5:30PM
COLOR TRAINEES: Have regular classes - theory followed by practice sessions
on mannequins to perfect technique and speed. Then, trainees start working on
models 2-4 based on skill level. Each color trainee works with Gina Khan and a master
team of colorists to learn corrective color, general color formulation-and communication
techniques.
Length of program depends on the individual.
At 7 months a practical progress review is taken and apprentices must have a score of 80% or higher to stay in the training program.
PROMOTIONS.
First step to graduation is junior- doing client three days a week at a reduced rate.
Future steps are based on merit and length of time.
